People get really funny about checking their front door, don’t they? Is it locked? I mean I locked it three times but seriously, what if I imagined that because I’ve done it so many times in the exact same way that now it just doesn’t even register?

Sadly, most people aren’t as worried about their energy saving. In fact, energy saving is a long way down the list, way behind “did we get that wine for Friday night?”and even, “have we run out of toilet paper?”And according to Enigin, an energy audit is the way to put this right (saving energy, not the toilet paper debacle which can seem like as much of a global disaster if you get caught unawares…). Never heard of it you say? Well, that’s because there’s nobody telling you to do it, because let’s be honest, it’s quite a boring topic to mist people, though undoubtedly mega important. Besides, the TV is full with talent shows and a grinning Andrew Lloyd Webber. Saving energy just isn’t as attractive and thus not something that crops up much in the media, TV included (note: yes, putting Andrew Lloyd Webber and attractive in the same paragraph does seem wrong, doesn’t it?).

Hopefully, in a few years time everyone will be doing this. Maybe, just maybe, with the awareness in energy saving that is starting to surface, the combination of saving this money and producing more energy will mean there’s more to go around.
