I love new scientific discoveries. It’s something I keep completely secret from my girl friends though–It’s not that I’m ashamed of it (I’m sure some of them at least can understand how exciting a new species of animal is–but they might just look at it like “that’s more material to make hand bags out of!” is my fear–) it’s just that it’s my thing. So that’s it. When I’m out with the girls I’m all girl: pink, hand bag loving and always scanning for the next amazing deal on shoes, always with an opinion on moisturizer for oily skin, of course–But when I’m on my own at home I’m straight on the internet to see if there are any new amazing animal discoveries. And today there was one, and I rejoiced!

A great big new lizard was discovered, people, that’s right! How very exciting. So now I just have one question, and you might do too: how the heck did it manage to stay secret for so long? I mean, it’s not small, is it? It doesn’t look like the kind of thing that would be very good at hide and seek either. I bet it makes lots of strange lizardy noises–

Which makes my mind wander–How many new species are out there waiting to be discovered? (OK, maybe not waiting, because let’s face it, it doesn’t matter to them if they get discovered or not.)

The next thing we have to make sure about is that these new lizard men don’t get turned in to hand bags. I’m sure with that incredible skin they’d make great handbags and shoes, but that’s not really the point, is it?
